Privacy Policy — mojoReader

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Business Mojo Pty Ltd (ABN 47 122 994 496) ("Business Mojo", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how mojoReader handles information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This document supplements the Business Mojo Privacy Policy available at businessmojo.com.au. Where this Policy is silent on a matter, the master Privacy Policy applies. In the event of any conflict, this Policy prevails in respect of mojoReader.

The short version: mojoReader collects nothing. No personal information, no analytics, no cookies, no tracking. Everything happens in your browser. We don't know who you are, what you read, or when you use the tool.

1. About mojoReader

mojoReader is a free, client-side markdown viewer that runs entirely in your web browser. It requires no account, no registration, and no authentication. There is no server-side processing of your documents — all rendering is performed locally on your device.

2. Information We Collect

We collect no information whatsoever.

Specifically, mojoReader does not collect:

3. Browser Local Storage

mojoReader stores a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage to improve your experience. This data exists only on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

Data Purpose Transmitted?
Theme preference Remember your light/dark mode selection Never
Recent file names Quick access to recently opened files Never

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings (e.g., clearing site data for the mojoReader domain). Clearing localStorage will reset your theme to the default (dark mode) and remove the list of recent files.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

mojoReader does not use cookies. We do not use any tracking technologies, including but not limited to:

5. Shared Links

mojoReader provides a "Share" feature that generates a URL containing your document content in a compressed, encoded format within the URL hash (#doc=...).

You should be aware that:

Business Mojo has no ability to access, read, modify, or delete the content of any Shared Link, as no server-side storage is involved.

6. Third-Party Services

mojoReader loads the Nunito font from Google Fonts. This is the only external network request made by the application. Google's own privacy policy applies to the delivery of font files. No user data or document content is transmitted to Google or any other third party.

When you choose to load a markdown document from a URL using mojoReader's "Fetch URL" feature, your browser makes a direct request to that URL. mojoReader does not proxy, log, or intercept these requests.

7. Data Security

mojoReader's architecture provides a strong security posture by design:

While no technology is completely risk-free, mojoReader's zero-collection design means there is no personal data at risk from a server-side breach.

8. Children's Privacy

mojoReader does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal information is collected by the Service at all, no special provisions for children's data are required.

9. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not disclose any personal information to third parties because we do not collect any personal information. There are no third-party analytics providers, advertising partners, or data brokers involved in the operation of mojoReader.

10. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to request access to and correction of personal information we hold about you. Since mojoReader does not collect or hold any personal information, there is no data to access or correct.

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We will investigate the issue and respond to you within thirty (30) days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of mojoReader after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
